The River Walk community was suffering from low economic occupancy as well as was in need of a much needed rehabilitation. It also had a horrible reputation for accepting residents despite their use of drugs, criminal activity, and prior credit problems.

Through Opportune Companies proactive management, procedures and policies, the criminal element was eliminated and the community was stabilized. Calls for service have been virtually non-existent.

The Opportune Companies rehabilitated and transformed this community into a beautiful, secure and safe environment. Work included new roofs, asphalt slurry, siding, painting, landscaping, pool and pool equipment, HVAC’s, appliances, flooring, window treatment, water heaters and more.

River Walk is a 152 home family community that is comprised of all three bedroom units. The homes are provided to families whose incomes are at 60% of the area median income. Resident social services are provided to all residents as well as planned activities, events, and seminars.
